ADM Londis plc, one of Ireland’s premier symbol groups has significantly strengthened its Senior Management Sales team with the appointment of Jerry McDonnell and Joe O’Connor as Heads of Sales for East, South & West respectively.

Reflecting on the appointments, Foley said, “With retailers, symbol groups and consumers alike all feeling the affects of the economic downturn, ADM Londis continues to make forward strides in adapting and developing its offering. Today’s Senior Sales appointments will reinforce and re-invigorate the Londis sales structure throughout the country, enhancing our offering for both retailer and consumer.”

Joe O’Connor takes on the roll of Head of Sales South & West for the Group. Commenting on the appointments, Stephen O’Riordan, CEO, ADM Londis plc detailed, “The appointments provide a combination of industry experience and understanding of the ADM Londis retailer structure which will result in enhanced leadership and sales expertise for the Group. In a market faced with ever increasing and evolving challenges these skill sets will be vital as we move forward in 2009.” In 2008 the Londis Group reported an increase in profit before tax to €6.1m on a wholesale turnover of €371m.
