Fittest Superstars Competition, Terms & Conditions

Davy’s Fittest Superstars competition with Londis and Davy Fitzgerald

This competition is open to residents of the Republic of Ireland over the age of 16 with
Parent/Adult/Guardian approval.

The Promoter and Data Controller is BWG Foods UC, BWG House, Greenhills Road, Tallaght,
Dublin 24. D24 Y722.

No purchase necessary. Entry to the competition is free.

    1. How to enter:

      I. Simply pledge to fundraise €200 or more per team for Irish Hospice Foundation on the Londis competition page https://www.londis.ie/fittestsuperstars and you will automatically receive one entry into the draw to enter a team in Davy’s Fittest Superstars for you and three friends.

      II. Entrants must provide a contact name, telephone or mobile number, email address and county and state their local Londis store.

      III. To help the judges, please explain in less than 250 words your reason you why and your team want to take part in Davy’s Fittest Superstars with Londis.

      IV. Must be 16 years or older. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult throughout the event.

      V. Must be available to attend event on Saturday 11th May 2024 between 9am and 5pm.

      VI. All entries must be received by 23.59 on Friday 1 st March 2024.

      VII. Entries must be submitted using the official online entry form on www.londis.ie/fittestsuperstars By entering, Londis is given the right for future correspondence, for this competition only, to occur via email or phone if they are chosen as winners. No use will be made of the details supplied other than for the purpose of this competition.

 

    1. The prize consists of the right to enter a team of four at Meath Eco on Saturday 11 th May 2024. Those participating in the team must be aged 16 years old or over. A maximum of 4 people can take part in each team and there will be a maximum of 25 teams taking part in the event. Prize excludes transport to and from Meath Eco Park. Acceptance of the prize and participation at event is subject to additional terms and conditions.

 

    1. The prize will be awarded to the entries, in the opinion of the judges, outlined in less than 250 words your reason why you and your team want to take part in Davy’s Fittest Superstars. The decision of the judges will be final, and binding and no correspondence can be entered into. The entry that is deemed to be most deserving of the prize, as decided by the judges, will receive a prize of a single team entry into the event.

 

    1. Timings – entry to this competition will run from 22 January 2024 to 01 March 2024. Winners will be announced in March 2024 and will be contacted directly. 8 By applying, the winner and those participating in the prize will give Londis the right to publish photographic or video images of them and their team members for publicity purposes.

 

    1. All participation instructions form part of these rules.

 

    1. Entries must be received before midnight on Friday 1 st March 2024. No entries received after this date will be included. Entrants can enter as many times as they like but no entrant may win more than one prize.

 

    1. Winners will be contacted by email and/or telephone within 48 hours of being chosen as the Winner. If the promoter is not able to contact a winner or the winner does not respond within 48 hours of communication being sent to confirm that they are a winner, then another winner will be selected and awarded their prize.

 

    1. Winners must join an online donation platform and reach their target goal of €200 by Friday 26th April 2024. Failure to reach target by set date may result in disqualification from the event and the Promoter reserves the right to select another winner from the remaining eligible entries.

 

    1. The prize awarded at the event will be €4,000 to the winning team and €1,000 to the promoters, Londis, official charity partner, Irish Hospice Foundation. The team that completes the obstacle course in the fastest time will be deemed the winner. An additional prize will be awarded to the team that raises the most funds for charity.

 

    1. In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the promoter reserves the right to change the event activities or offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.

 

    1. The prize/offer are non-transferable, no alternatives will be offered and must be taken up within the timeframe shown in (11) above.

 

    1. Terms & conditions of the promotion are available on request.

 

    1. No incomplete or corrupted entries will be accepted. Entries will only be accepted if they comply with all entry instructions.

 

    1. Proof of sending will not be accepted as proof of receipt. The promoter does not accept any responsibility for lost, misplaced, or damaged entries.

 

    1. Entry to the competition will be considered a full & unconditional acceptance of the terms and conditions of this promotion.

 

    1. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or consequential damage of any nature in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise caused by acceptance of the terms and conditions or in connection with the Prize (to the extent permissible by law).

 

    1. By entering the promotion, all entrants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by the rules and consent to the transfer of their personal data to the Data Controller for the purposes of the administration of this promotion and any other purposes to which the entrant has consented. All entry instructions form part of the rules.

 

    1. These terms and conditions shall be governed by Irish law and the courts of Republic of Ireland
